Married and living in Berlin for almost eight years now, I still often question how and why in the world I ended up here in Germany?
Although the answer to this becomes clearer, I believe I will always have the need to ask it. Who I am, was , and will be is always changing - this I must accept.
Everything that connects to me being in this place here and now is only a direct connection from what was before. I know concretely, had I have not taken this path, my music would not be what it is...my growing inner philosophies would not be what they are, and my inner cultural make up would certainly have a different shade of eye shadow and lipstick. The "Road" is "Rough" but a hearty one.
Cultural disconnection led me here from there, and it is at the point of illusory cultural clashes meeting head on where the flower of my ironic definition blooms.
Where was the original belonging anyway of my diaspora??
