Interesting Things that you LOVE

In the interest of balance I suppose we should start a discussion about interesting things that we enjoy. I have a ton of these but I'll start off with a short list.

1)The smell of a newborn babies breath. Damn, if I could bottle it as some kind of perfume.
2)The smell of the air right after a rain in Mississippi. The water rising up out of the soil smells for lack of a better word "peaceful."
3)Listening to elder folks tell stories. Especially when they get to the parts where they are telling LIES and know that you know that they are riffing on the truth. LOL It's all about building the legend!
4)Riding through those electric car washes when the automated brushes roll across the window. When those big heat guns blow on the car to dry it off it's like nirvana to me.
5)Going to cities I haven't visited before and getting LOST.
6)Opening the plastic on a new vinyl LP. What a rush that I truly miss. Opening CD cases is actually more frustrating than enjoyable but at least there is that sense of receiving a present. Downloads, even though I appreciate the immediacy and democratic possibilities are just meh. Nothing like opening that old vinyl and pulling out a poster or lyric booklet. Y'all ain't know?

20. friends who will pull me aside if i've got a booger in my nose or some other embarrassing unknown going on.

i love the smell of necks!!!
i love to bury my nose in the curve and take a long, deep inhale.
sometimes i'll be having a conversation with someone... could be anyone i like...male or female, young or old, lover or not... and i'll get the urge to just lean in and endulge in a whiff! necks are the best! and then the curve at the lower back....
oooh... and i really like rest my lips on the temples and feel the pulse there. i do this to my kid all the time. :)

I got a couple new/old ones:

1.Sharing a hearfelt laugh with a youth that lets me recognize that she/he is now an adult. Revelatory!
2.Experiencing the positive blowback of forgiveness.
3.Making incense out of old newspaper and cologne/perfume.
4)Watching cigarette or incense smoke create shapes in the air.
5)Manifesting a shared brotherhood/sisterhood with someone that I don't share blood with.
6)Watching someone at work who is REALLY excellent at what they do. I love sitting in on mughs workouts (artistic and otherwise)
7)Knowing in my heart that a situation will work itself out.
8)Sepulchral Arch
9)Watching a friend/family member's idea become a positive reality.
10)Spraying waterhoses
11)Watching bubbles form in bathwater. RAWK!

Riding to therapy this morning these crossed my mind:

1)Putting on warm clothes right out of the dryer
2)Watching the windows clear up when I turn on the defroster in the car during rainfall.
3)Watching my oldman's facial expressions when he does well on an assignment in therapy. He looks like a 5 year old. lol
4)Finishing a project that I've put off for too long and realizing that the procrastination was weighing on me.
5)hearing a great melody or seeing a great visual concept from an artist that has had a breakthrough creatively..

1)Unexpectedly finding a great restaurant
2)Being so wrong about something that my only recourse is to laugh with no inhibitions. This is very rare. LOL J/K
3)Realizing a lot of the folks that I love and respect in my business have actually settled into Atlanta.
4)Working out a difficult string arrangement.
5)Hearing my friends laugh.
6)Installing new software and opening it for the first time.
7)Listening to my daughter reason through a problem with great intelligence, patience and humor.
8)Hearing my daughter call me "Pop." Strange feeling indeed.
9)Opening an email from someone I've been wanting to hear from (personal or business but mostly personal. sometimes business feels me with dread lol)
10)Getting a mix just RIGHT.
